2012 STATE CHAMPIONS DIXIE HIGH SCHOOL!!

We drove 5 hours, and played our butts off to get our
trophy we've been waiting 14 years for.
Last night was probably one of the best nights in history for the Dixie High School football team. But probably one of the worst for Spanish Fork. I don't think I've been prouder to be a flyer till last night. We loaded up the 6 buses going up to Rice Eccles Stadium on Friday morning at 4:45 a.m. to make the 5 hour drive to watch the state championship our boys have been waiting 14 years to finally be at. we arrived at the stadium at about 10-10:30 and filed in with the rest of the student body, got our seats and waited impatiently as we watch our boys stretch then run into the locker room.
The team all lined up. Lukas and Braxton are ready to win.

The game finally started, we made the first touchdown the first 5 minutes into the game. But as the game goes on in the first quarter, the Spanish Fork Dons then made one tying it 7-7. First quarter ended, second started as we all watched and cheered as Blake Barney, our star quarterback passed the ball to someone else and made another touchdown. The cowed was going NUTS! Blake passed the ball to Andy Appel, and he ran for his touchdown making the score 21-7 with 30 seconds left on the clock.

Students lifting up Tyson after winning.
Third quarter then started and we cheered our hearts out for our boys. About halfway through, Spanish Fork made a 32-yard run. Blake then caugh up with Lukas Hildebrandt, threw the ball to him he caught it, made several moves on the other team, then booked it for the end zone. About 18 seconds after that happened, the Dons caught up and made a touchdown at the end of the third quarter. Third quarter ended with 28-21 Dixie.

Cheering for the team. "We're from Dixie Couldn't be prouder"
Fourth quarter starts with everyone cheering and freaking out on both sides. The last 4 minutes, blake passes the ball to Tyson Graff and he makes a 33-yard interception return for the score. Winning the game with 49-21 as the score on the score board. Dixie won the 3A state championship for the first time since 1998. Can you imagine the excitement from the players and from all of us in the stands? Cheering our cheers saying "We are the Flyers, we are the best and we HAVE conquered.", "W're from Dixie, couldn't be prouder", and my favorite.."WE BELIEVE THAT WE JUST WON, WE BELIEVE THAT WE JUST WON, WE BELIEVE THAT WE JUST WON". I am soooo proud of my boys, and so thankful that I was able to go up and watch them finally be able to achieve their dreams since they were little kids to become state champions.
Blake making a touchdown

We entered the State playoffs third seed from Region 9, beat North Sanpete, killed the undefeated Stansbury, and beat Juan Diego 14-13 at Rice Eccles stadium in the past 3 weeks.
Lukas and Drew after finding out our touchdown didn't count

Blake Barney became the 6th highest offensive producer in state history. And Lukas Hildebrandt set the state championship game record with 207 receiving yards.

First Football Game 2012-2013

Last night was our first football game of the season. We played Springville and and won 28-13. So the boys were pretty excited that we won the first game. For every touchdown, the band would get ready and play the school fight song while my team and I performed the routine that goes to it. At halftime we also got to perform our Call Me Maybe routine and that went better than I expected it to. The wind was good enough that we were able to do all of our tosses and everything. I was a little early on a few parts but other than that we did good. The Jetette's got to perform first like they usually do, then the cheerleaders did their dance, then we went last so we still had a big cheering crowd. By the end of the game my feet hurt so bad I could barely walk. But other than that it was so much fun and I can't wait for next week.

I have a performance this Friday night at 7 p.m. for anyone who wants to come. Its at Dixie High School down at the football field. We will be doing our half time performance and our sidelines along with the band and cheerleaders.
Please Note: this is our first performance and it won't be that great. But cheer anyway(:

Sleepover With Markee

Last night I got to go over and spend the night with one of my best friends Markee. I went over to her house and she made dinner and had it ready by the time I got there. We had coconut chicken, rice with gravy and salad. It was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. Then after she had made brownies with frosting on them and those we so good. I was pretty impressed. After that we went down in her room and took a bunch of funny pictures. We only took 2 cute ones and all the rest of them are goofy. We had so much fun. Then we both got tired and turned on a movie then both fell asleep. We woke up today and watched movies for a little while till Rick came and got me. I had so much fun and can't wait to do it again.

Well I am officially a 16 year old. I don't have my license yet because I don't have my permit yet. But I am working on it. Danielle and I celebrated our birthday's on my birthday because we never did anything for her on her birthday. We got a farm animal cake which I was sooo excited for. Danielle wasn't to ecstatic about it but I loved it.
It rained on my birthday which I was really happy about because I love when it rains. And at sunset we had a double rainbow and it was fantastic and I got lots of pictures of it. Thank you for all the birthday wishes it was a good day.

Fish Lake Weekend!!

This weekend Deven and I got to celebrate our birthday's a little early since neither of us would be with Kathy and my dad for them. D and I wanted to go up to Salt Lake but apparently it wasn't really our decision so we went to Fish Lake. We invited our 2 cousins Ryann and Kena. We had a blast. We sat around the table and played BS for a little while the first night and went on a Rhino ride the next day while it was still raining but it was the best Rhino ride I've been on in a long long time. I miss it. We went out to Sheep Valley where my aunt and uncle have their land with their cows on it and went riding out there for a few hours. We went up the mountain while Ryann, my dad and Kathy were all in the Rhino, Deven and Brexton were on one 4-wheeler and Kena and I were on the other.
Well as we were riding up the mountain I was driving behind D the whole time in case i needed pointers on how to drive through certain spots (which helped a lot) we were going up a hill and the road was wet and muddy it was like snot. We were trying to drive up this hill and my 4-wheeler wouldn't make it up so I slammed on the breaks and we started sliding back ever so slowly and that was probably the first time in my life I have ever felt like I was gonna die if I didn't figure something out fast. I looked down at the speedometer and realized I was only in 3rd gear. I switched to 2ND and we made it up the hill like it was nothing.
After we got back to camp Deven and I took the 4-wheelers to a river not to far down the road to wash off the wheeler's cause they were soooo muddy. We washed those off, went back to camp and took the Rhino back to the river to wash it off and ended up spending more time down there than planned. We ended up taking pictures of us going through the river and how "clean we were getting it" even though the motor was probably getting washed out more than anything. We took it back to camp then went back to the cabin after eating dinner with the rest of the family.
We left on Sunday and met Deven's step mom is Cove Fort so she could take him home with her. The girls came home with us and I stayed over at my dads for another 2 nights with them before they had to go home. When we got home it was pouring rain and I walked outside to find my father washing the rhino in the pouring rain. Made my whole day.
It was such a funn weekend and a good birthday. I miss D and I'm proud of him for getting his license.

Family Pictures

This is also a little late but here they are. A few weeks ago when Rilee was last down we went out and did family pictures since the only ones that we had were from the wedding. So we all went out and did some. We all wore black or gray shirts, long pants and some of us wore a little bit of yellow as an accent color. They turned out great. They are also on my facebook.

Daxton's Birthday Thomas

Sorry this is a little late if anyone didn't get the memo its been pretty hectic around here for the past couple weeks.
Daxton had his 3rd birthday this past month on Sunday June 24th. Or as he called it his "Birthday Thomas". He had a Thomas the train birthday party cause Thomas is his favorite. Danielle and I went over to the spinney park at 5 p.m. to help Allysa and Josh with the decorations and setting up to make sure that everyone was happy and out of the sun as much as possible. While Danielle and I sat and watched Allysa try and fail to put up streamers, I ended up having to get up on Josh's shoulders while he walked up and down the sidewalk as I instructed him to do so while I was hanging up and taping them to the poles. After that we were both sweating cause it was so dang hot outside.
Everyone then started to show up at 6 p.m. and we started the party. Daxton was soo excited to see every person that showed up. He had a lot of funn with the party stuff like the things that you blow in other people's faces. He was gettin a kick out of that it was the funniest thing. We had a lot of people show up.
We had Josh's parents, Josh's grandma, Allysa's grandparents, grandma and grandpa Sappington, Josh's cousin and her 2 kids, Josh's little sister, his brother and his girlfriend, and much much more. We sang Happy birthday to you to Dax and he ended up singin along with everyone ha. It was so cute. He blew out the candles, and right after he blew them out, got a sad look and said "again". After we had cake he ran over to the table where all his presents were and demanded to open them "right now please". He got lots of toy cars and Thomas trains which he was so ecstatic for and wanted that one to be opened and out of the box right then.
After presents we had a pinata and he had a lot of funn with that and telling the other kids to "get it" "hit it harder" "ohhhh yaaa". It was funn to watch. Then everyone was getting bored and tired so we all started to clean up and people left. We were the last ones to leave and help clean everything up. It was so much funn to see my nephew turn 3. It still feels like he's 1 sometimes.

Dixie High School 2012 Graduation

Today I got the chance to go to another graduation to see the senior class of 2012 graduate from Dixie High School. I can't even explain to you how much I really really don't want any of these amazing people to graduate. Our school will really miss their faces walking the halls of our school and all their sarcasm. Getting to really know all of these people has made me personally excited for my senior year because of all their positive attitudes and craziness. The graduation was held at Dixie State College at Burns Arena at 2 p.m. and there was sooooo many people there. We had a lot more seniors than I thought we did. I got lots of pictures and this time I got one of them throwing their hats into the air since I failed to last night at Danielle's graduation. Oh boy it's really been a blast this year with all these amazing people.

We had our choir sing and the whole class sing the Hymn to the audience for the last time. We had 2 of our most famous students at Dixie High school sing together before the diplomas were handed out, then we had a few of the choir people come up and sing another song that ended up having a lot of different solo's that ended up turning out so amazing.
The Diplomas were then handed out with lots of tears, hugs, smiles, laughter and love. It was a cool experience. When they all threw their hats into the air everyone got up and went to find their friends and family. I for one went to find one of my really good friends Chris who graduated, and my best friend Demie went to fine her really good friend, and Mr. Dixie this year named Brenton, and we all took pictures together. It was so much funn, and I can't wait for next year.

Danielle's Graduation!!

Last night was Hurricane High School's 86Th Annual Graduation. It was held at Burns Arena at 7 p.m. and Danielle Nicole Welch was part of it. We had a big dinner party for her before we had to go. Dinner consisted of dutch oven potatoes, chicken, salad and some yummy cake that was half chocolate half white. She was soo nervous before she left and practically ran off the stage before I could get a picture of her. But I got a bunch of pictures
while she was sitting on the floor with her class.
She graduated with honors (meaning she kept a G.P.A. of a 3.8-3.89) which was noticed with silver ropes hanging around her neck. We got her lei's that she didn't end up wearing cause she's lame, one was made out of money, and the others of candy, rope and some kind of furry stuff. She didn't wear any of them. We also got her roses, some real some fake. The real ones were red roses, and the fake ones were made with real 1 dollar bills made into roses. Which I thought was pretty cool. We got lots of pictures after but got them on different cameras. :( But other than that it was so funn and it was really cool to finally see her graduate.

Mom's Birthday

Sorry its way late but here it is now. On April 25Th it was my mothers birthday. She had to work that day but we all decided to have a party for her ready when she got home. Danielle and I were put in charge of making the cake, and the decorations. So we went to the store and ended up buying my favorite kind of cake (Funfetti white cake) and butter-cream frosting. We went home and started making the cake. Danielle got this bright idea that we were gonna put food coloring in the batter so we put blue in one pan and green in the other then we took them out of the oven and put them on top of each other. We put purple food coloring in the frosting then ended up frosting the cake before it was all the way cooled down. So it kinda fell apart as you can probably see.
It was so much funn tho. A whole bunch of people showed up and laughed at us for our cake, but it turned out DELICIOUS!! We had a blast doing this party for her.

*Color-Guard*

I am very pleased to announce that I am officially on the Dixie High School Color Guard :D. Oh my goodness I feel so proud of myself. I was woken up this morning at 5:15 by all the girls who made it and who were on the team last year. They came screamin and yellin into my bedroom this morning and I was freakin out cause they scared me. I had no idea what was going on until I heard their familiar laughs and voices. I finally realized on Friday that I was so excited to be trying out because I finally felt like I was apart of something in our school. Even if we don't get credit at all. I'm so excited to be doing it this year and I'm hoping that all my hard work and dedication will pay off in the long run.

*Dixie High School Color-guard Try-outs*

So I didn't tell anyone because there is always that little possible chance that I won't make it and I didn't really want anyone to make a huge deal out of it. I have been going to the try-out clinics to learn all the dances and the flag movements and all that fun stuff, and today was tryouts. Today was a half day at school (Got out at 12:30) then I went home to get all my stuff together and then had to be back at the school at 3 to start stretching and warming up before the judges got there. After that we went over the dances a few times then got our numbers, and went to line up. I was in the first group. We had a total of 6 girls try out so we're pretty much already on the team anyway. I was the second one so I was front and center where all the judges can see how nervous you are and if you lose your smile you get docked points. It was my main priority to at least get the Fight Song as good as I possibly could, and the first time I did really well and got most of the moves down, then they asked to see it again and I didn't to well that time, but I kept my smile that whole time. Next we did our lyrical dance and I messed up so many times I can't even explain it, I also forgot about half the dance so I just started doing my own thing and ended up doing better than I thought I would. Last we did just the regular dance without the flags and I thought I did amazing on that one cause it was just all the basic dance moves and we got to learn a dance for those like me who miss dance and performing a lot. We don't get to find out who made it until tomorrow probably after school which kinda makes me anxious about finding out. But I will have more information tomorrow. Wish me luck(:

Fishlake with the Family

This past weekend my brother Deven came down and we all went to Fishlake.
While it was raining all weekend (I love when it rains) down here, it was snowing like crazy up in Fishlake.

Well I wasn't told that it would be snowing up there all weekend, so I took pants and jackets and sweatshirts.
I didn't bring gloves, boots, snow pants or a coat.
Oh swell. We did end up having some extra snow stuff up there but not very much. At first, we all kinda sat around till the next day we were there. Saturday morning we got up, ate breakfast and went and tied up the sleds to the back of the rhino and had my dad pull me,
Deven and Brexton around by the lake and up and down our street. We then went down to Twin Creeks and took pictures down there by the bridges and by the lake. Then we went back to the cabin got in our jammies and sat around for the rest of the night. We woke up bright and early Sunday morning, had breakfast, went sledding again, then loaded up in the truck and drove back to Richfield so we could drop Deven off with his dad. It was such a funn weekend and I'm looking forward to it for next time.

Bracelets Finished

With the help of my Sister Danielle, and my 3 friends Josie, Joey and Savannah, we were all able to make 378 bracelets for the sophomore class of Dixie High School.

Here is the finished product of all 378 bracelets. I was soo excited when we got them done. We finished them last night then jumped around and got excited for about 10 minutes after.

Pictures!

Even though I didn't get to see him on his birthday, I still got Mr. Josh Beaumont a birthday present that I took and edited myself. I was already looking for something to get him for his birthday in the first place then I added a picture of him
and Daxton to my facebook that I took the night of Taisley's birthday party. Then aunt Kaytee called me and told me that is would be soo cute if I gave that picture to Josh for his birthday.
So I found a website called picnik.com (That will be shutting down on April 19Th), edited it and added a really cute quote I found. Dax and Josh were out jumping on the tramp and I needed a few pictures of Daxton and I finally got the opportunity while he was laughing and Josh was smiling like a proud daddy.
*If you can't see the quote at the top of the picture it says "Any man can be a father..but it takes a special person to be a dad!"*

The next picture is of 2 of my best friends and I. Markee is the one in the middle, and it was the night of her dance performance. So Josie and I went to support her. Josie (the one in the black) was recently evicted from her apartment, and
was going to live with her dad in Arizona. So for her to remember Markee and I (even though she would never forget us), I took a picture that I had already and edited it on the same website.
Josie then found out that if she were to check out of school she wouldn't have enough credits to graduate and her brother being a senior would count as a high school drop out. So they both had to stay here. But I gave her the picture anyway and she loves it.
*If you can't see the quote in this one either, it says: "Friends are one mind in three bodies"*

Taisley's Wax Museum

A few weeks ago Taisley participated in her 4Th grade wax museum. The purpose of this was to find a book on a person and read it and find out all the information you could about that person. Taisley got the opportunity to do hers on Amelia Earhart. She dressed up like her with a leather jacket, a hat with goggles a pair of gloves and a white scarf that we got from different people. I got up bright and early to curl her hair for her the day of with a little extra time to put a little make up on her just for funn, and she looked sooo cute..if I do say so myself. (: The little girl holding the microphone and the other little girl are 2 of Taisley's best friends that did the wax museum with her. She did a great job.

*Spring Break 2012*

Well spring break is officially over as of midnight last night. :( What a bummer. But I can say that this was a very funn spring break. I stayed home half of the week to hang out with Danielle and for Taisley's birthday, and hung out with a few friends at
that time as well. Then the last half of the week I went over to my dads and spent some time over there. My cousin Morgan stayed with us while her mom was getting surgery up north and her brother and sisters and step dad were all in different places. So Morgan stayed home with me and we hung out.

To start out the week we had a yard sale on Saturday and everyone got burned but we still sold a lot. Then with the money that we earned Danielle and I went shopping for us and for Taisley's birthday. Oh what funn that was. Then we
So we filled up mom and Rick's bathtub with water and bubbles then decided to turn on the jets in the tub
. We went from not that many bubbles to the bath tub overflowing with them. It was crazy and so much funn. came home and wrapped them all up for her and Danielle and I decided that we wanted to take a bubble bath (with our swimming suits on for your information) together.

The next day we had Taisley's birthday where she got many
funn presents. She got from everyone else:
  • A fake fairy that looks real as it flies around in a jar when you tab the lid. (Very cool)
  • Lots of money
and a few other things that I can't remember.
From us she got:
  • Sock's/underwear
  • Money
  • A Justice gift card with $40 on it
  • And her favorite thing was...Just Dance 3 that we wrapped up in a Kindle box and she opened it and freaked out. She was so excited.

At the end of that week I went over to my dads and stayed there till Sunday.
Morgan and I had a few movie nights watching Easy A, and She's the Man. And we stayed up late every night. On Saturday we went to the Flying Angels Air Show that they had out at the new airport. We had a whole bunch of family friends come over and we had it out at our friend Twinks' farm.
We had an amazing view, and had so much funn. After awhile it got super windy and really cold so all the kids went and sat in the cars and watched from there. Then it ended and everyone somehow ended at my dads house.
While everyone sat around and had a good time all the older kids went for a rhino ride around the neighborhood till we got bored and went upstairs and played games and watched movies, then it started raining at about 10 and we all went back downstairs and rode the rhino in the dark, cold rain. It was so funn, and cold, but well worth it.

What a great spring break this year turned out to be. I am for sure looking forward to next year.

Bracelets!

A few months ago I had a friend come up to me out of the blue, and ask me if I was still making my bracelets. I then told him I still do and he asked me, if the school was to buy, and pay for all of the supplies, and then pay me, if I would be able to make bracelets for the whole sophomore class of 2014. At first I was really excited about it..then he told me how much I am going to be making..he told me a total around 400 bracelets for each of the sophomores. I stood there for a second and told him "Hagen we do not have that many sophomores" he then replied with "Yes Kendi we do". I then decided to believe him because he is on exec council at school..and he is a sophomore himself. I decided if I can't do them all by myself by the end of the school year, or give me a dead line, I am going to have 2 of my best friends help me out with them because they are 2 people that I know are as good as making them as me. I'm kinda scared that I might let them down, but I am going to try my hardest.

Here are the sample bracelets that I let people choose from. (Left to Right) V4, Circle, The Candy Ribbon, Thick 3, Reg. 3, Reg. 4, Reg. 6, & Rasta.

The whole box including all the colors that I use.

  • If you would like to purchase one of these bracelets, please let me know with the colors you want and the sample type. (Price: $1. Prices may vary)

No More Jetette's!

Ok so I know a few days ago I said I was going to try out for Jetette's, but I have changed my mind. The reason for this is because I feel like I don't have enough dance experience and its a HUGE commitment. So I am no longer trying out. I will find something else to do, maybe try out for color guard or something. But who knows.

Happy Valentines Day!!

Well it's that time of year again when everyone gets around and just loves their hearts out! People get all mushy gushy and what not. I honestly don't like Valentines day (but what teenager does). But today actually wasn't that bad. I was sitting at home last night, and got a text from my friend Lukas asking me if I wanted anything for Valentines day and I replied (like I usually reply to everything) with: I don't know. He said that's not a real answer so I said "Sure why not" haha. So he did end up getting me something. (:

aww cute(: There was a laffy taffy along with that to but I already ate it haha.

When I got home I walked into my room and noticed that I still have the roses that I got last year from my 2 friends Markee and Josie.

As much as I really don't like Valentines this turned out to be a pretty good one(: So happy Valentines to everyone (:

Preference 2012!

After a day of dress shopping with Savannah (Which i absolutely hate dress shopping), I finally found the dress I wanted and her and I were both satisfied with what we got.

I recently got to go to one of our school dances. I went to preference (: The theme of it was "I see the light" from Disney's Tangled (: I wasn't really planning on going in the first place, but one of my friends needed a group so I told her I would go with her and bring one of our best friends Savannah as my date (: The reason why I went with a girl is because the guy I could have asked was going with someone else already and I wasn't planning on going. So I ended up going with Savannah. In our group we had our friend Kaitlyn and her boyfriend Wyatt, our friend Logan and his date Katelyn, and Savannah and I. We had a BLAST.I did end up dancing with the guy I could have asked named Lukas (:
After awhile we all got bored and really really hot, we went

outside and walked around for a little while till we all cooled off. Then Savannah and I went back inside and took pictures till we found the rest of our group then ended up taking more pictures. I say that this dance beat Sadies by a long shot!
So as much as I hate dress shopping everything worked out and it was one of the best nights ever (:

Some Funn Pictures (:

Here are some pictures of stuff that I haven't posted yet. Enjoy (:

Catching Up!?!

I'm sorry its been so long. Been very busy.
School is going great. I think I have decided that I will be trying out to be a Jetette this year. I don't want to be like one of those people who always say "I wish I would have been more involved in school activities" I want to be one of those people who say "if I had the choice to go back, I would" I want to be apart of something, and be somewhere were I fit it, other than with my friends that I usually hang out with. So with some help from one of my friends who is a Jetette right now, I'm hoping that I will do good at try outs and make it on the team. The family is good.
My brother Deven this past Saturday was snowboarding up in Snowbird, tried to do a 360 or something like that and ended up landing wrong, broke his left collar bone, and chipped something in this right knee. Don't ask how that happened because I am still trying to figure that part out as well. He went in for surgery today, and I haven't talked to him yet. I'm hoping all is well, so keep him in your prayers.
I recently went to preference (girls choice school dance for those of you who don't know) I went with my friend Savannah, and our friends Kaitlyn and her boyfriend, Kaitlyn's best friend Kaitlyn and a guy from our school Logan. We all went as a group, and had a BLAST!!! I will post pictures as soon as I can.
The reason that I went with a girl is because I wasn't planning on going in the first place, then decided to go when I found out that Kaitlyn was going and she needed a group, So Savannah and I went shopping and went with them. (Pictures will be up soon). Anyway. Thats all for now. Stay Tuned!!!
