Camping with the family :)

A few weeks ago, mom, Rick, and Taisley loaded up in the camp trailer and went camping with Rick's brother Scott, his wife their kids, and his dad and his step mom. The day they left I went to my dads because the next night I had to go to Sadies. After the dance, Danielle came and got us we took him home, and went home straight to bed. The next morning, we go packed loaded up in the car and Danielle and I drove to Enterprise where Rick was waiting to take us to the campsite down by Modena. When we got there, we took all of our stuff into the camp trailer, said our hello's then spent the rest of the day in the trailer watching movies and playing Skip-bo. (We're such big campers). That night mom made stew and all the kids went outside in the cold and played limbo until dinner was ready. Dinner consisted of Fireside stew, and scones. YUMMMMMYYYY. Everyone else ate outside while Danielle and I yet again went inside

watched more movies and ate our dinner alone haha. Everyone came in and we all got our beds ready, and went to bed.

The next day all the boys went hunting, while the girls stayed behind and slept and ate breakfast. When Rick got back Danielle and I got ready and took the 4-wheeler out for a ride. We took more pictures than we did riding but we still had so much funn.

On our way back, we weren't really paying attention and Danielle missed the turn, so we had to turn all the way back around and then found camp again. We spent the day again playing skip-bo until we had to start getting everything packed up and ready to go home. We said our goodbyes and we were on our way home.

By the time we got to Enterprise we heard a pop behind us and then realized that we had blown a tire on the trailer.
We were sitting on the side of the road for about 20 minutes until they finally got it fixed. They drove us back to the car, Danielle and I got in and went straight home. What a funn weekend. Until next time :)

Turkey Talk?!

So last night I was talking to my mom in the kitchen, and she started saying something to me in turkey talk. I then replied back doing the same. Then I sat there and wondered...who made up turkey talk? Was it grandma and Larry? Or was it someone else and we all just happened to pick up on it as we all grew up. Please someone answer this question. It haunts me! (:

End of Summer

Well today marks the first day of the last week of summer for us here in the little town of St. George. School starts next Monday and I'm so excited. I don't really know how excited Taisley and Danielle are about it but I sure am. We have had a pretty funn summer (even though I haven't had Liz and Aspen to entertain me all summer like I have the past 2 summers). But through it all I've had a lot of funn. We have been mostly swimming and hanging out. I am sorry to say this is the first summer in 2 years I haven't been to the lake with Liz and Aspen.

I recently had a very scary encounter a few weeks ago with my best friend Tessa and Taisley. We were at the park while Tessa and I were taking pictures "Smiles" and this man started talking to the 3 of us telling me to take naked pictures and put it on one of those sites. We didn't get many pictures (3) but we left and when we got to the head of the trail coming into my neighborhood Tessa's dad was there waiting for us and when they left he took her straight to the police station and they filed a police report on the man. We then found out there is a few people like that who live around here. It kinda freaked me out. But there are still 3 of us here today and we hope nothing like that ever happens again to any of us.

I have been at my dads most of the summer, and its been pretty busy. We went to Fish Lake last weekend with my cousins and had a blast. Going on my favorite Rhino ride where we go out to the camp site where most of my family camps for the family reunions we have every year, and you drive up the mountain and when you get to the tippy top there is a look out where you can look out and see all of Fish Lake. Its one of the most amazing views, and its something that I look forward to every time we go.

That pretty sums up my summer :) More to come with pictures:)

Catching Up

Whoa, Busy, busy summer :)

This summer isn't as bad as I thought it would be since I don't have Liz and Aspen to lean on everyday to entertain me, and I've only hung out with them a few times this summer where as
the past 2 or 3 summers we saw each other everyday non stop, and I was never home. But on the bright side I've had Danielle most of the summer to keep both me and her entertained. That's been pretty nice.
I was really excited for this summer because I had plans to first go to The Manti Pageant
[which was a blast] with the Bloomington 7th ward, then when I got home from that, I stayed 1 night back in St. George, woke up the next morning got ready and my mom drove me down to Jacob's Lake, Arizona for the Red Cliff's 3rd Ward 2011 Stake Girls Camp. I had so much funn
and made a few new friends while I was there. Then when I got back, my plan was to stay home for a few weeks then head off the the Bloomington 7th Ward 2011 ward Girls Camp. But I ended up backing out at the last minute and ended up going to Fillmore with my dad, my little brother and Kathy. Which was pretty funn.
I've had a very busy summer, with camping, going to my dads, and so on. But I'm so excited for school to start back up so I can see all my old friends and what not. Its been a pretty good summer. Last week I invited one of my good friends Alex to go to Transformers 3:Dark of the Moon with me. We saw it in 3D and it was amazing.
But still not as good as the first 2 since the first 2 had Megan Fox in it, but she had to a freak and get herself kicked off the set and was no longer aloud to be apart of the 3rd movie. :[ But other than that we had a lot of funn. After the movie we went to Dell Taco and sat there for about 10-15 minutes then walked home.

I then hung out with Allysa last night and as we drove by the Outlet mall over by Old Navy there is a big empty lot that used to be an RV Park, they started building something so I asked Allysa what it was supposed to be and she responded with: ITS A NEW MALL JUST LIKE THE OUTLET MALL! So we were pretty excited about that since our mall and the outlet mall have nothing in them and we have been to all of them so many times we don't even want to go anymore.
So that's me catching up with everyone, sorry it took me so long. But there it is :)

Stake Conference 2011

Sorry that it so long for me to post this, I haven't had a cord to post any of my pictures, but this summer, I got the chance to go to Stake conference with my new ward. I had so much funn. The morning of we all met in the parking lot of my church, we got into the cars, and we were on our way. Our hotel was in Salt lake and the night after we got to go to a stake dance with another stake in Salt Lake.

We had Jaycee, Jessica, Sarah and me all in one room. What a blast that was. We brought movies to watch at night while we were alone and tired, and when we got there we went to put one in and noticed that all the leaders had called the hotel before we got there and had them take out all the cable cords out of the TVs and take them to a place where no one could find them. We weren't to excited about that. But we got over it pretty quick. When we got there, we went to a place called "This is the Place". We took pictures and learned about all the histories about it. We ate lunch then all went to the hotel to check in. The boys and the girls were all separated into different parts of the hotel. The girls in my room I knew all of them cause they were all in my ward.

After being at the hotel for awhile we all got called back down and we went to Gateway to the theater they have there and watch the 13th Miracle. It was such a funn experience.
We then went to the Tabernacle Choir and everyone but our ward stayed awake for it because we were all so tired and worn out.
After that we went back to the hotel had dinner did the evening devotional and spent the rest of the evenings in our rooms.

The next day we got up bright and early and went to the conference center after that we went to the park and played games and took lots of pictures till it was time to go back to the hotel and get ready to go to the dance. The dance was probably the funnest thing we did on the trip. I curled my friends hair did her make up, I got ready and we went to the dance. It was so much funn. Our stake was pretty much the only one that showed up. But we all had funn dancing with each other until they started a mosh pit and everyone went in and started dancing and showing off their skills. Everyone had a great time. After that we went back to the hotel and went to bed.

The next morning we woke up at the crack of dawn got ready and went to the conference center again and listened to leaders and other people bare their testimonies while a lot of us fell asleep. After that we went to a church, ate dinner and all went for a hike up to a place the the prophets had hiked and you can look out over all of Salt Lake unfortunately those pictures accidentally got deleted so I have no proof, but oh well. We put our flags up had a little devotional then hiked back down. We had desert and then went back to the hotel. Since it was the last night of being there, all the girls from our ward came into our room and we danced around. This one girl was trying to teach my friend how to dance and wasn't really doing a very good job at it but it was the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life. We did that until we got a call from the front desk saying that someone in the room below us called and complained about the noise so we all went to bed.
The next morning, we woke up, ate breakfast then had a last devotional and we were on our way home. What a funn experience we had and I can't wait for next year.

Aspire Pro Dance Competition

About 2 Saturday's ago, my dance team and I had the opportunity to dance at the Aspire Pro Dance Competition here in St. George. I personally thought that it would be the most boring day ever, but when everyone started to show up for it, it got to be so funn, it turned into being one of the best days ever. We took 8 dances all together to the competition. We had K-2Nd grade -Jazz "Single Ladies" K-2Nd grade -Lyrical "An Angel" 3rd-5Th grade -Jazz "Fire Burning" 3rd-5Th grade Lyrical "Beautiful", 6Th-12Th grade -Jazz "Break Your Heart", 6Th-12Th grade -Military "The Bongo Song", All-Starz -Jazz "Hush Hush" and All-Starz -Lyrical "More Than Anyone" The awards were a little different than most competitions. Instead of awarding for 1st, 2Nd, 3rd, etc. they award you with little stick on Diamonds, Ruby's, Sapphire's, and Emerald gems that you take off the little card and you stick it in the little place they have made for them on your trophy right next to the song that you danced to.

  • A Diamond gem is ranged between 285-300

  • A Ruby gem is ranged between 274-284

  • A Sapphire gem is ranged between 265-274

  • And an Emerald gem is ranged between 264 and below.

In Competing categories with 2 or more dances, the top dance is recognised with a first place medal for the group.

  • "Single Ladies" got -Ruby

  • "An Angel" got -Ruby

  • "Fire Burning" got -Ruby and a 1st Place Medal

  • "Beautiful" got -Ruby and a 1st Place Medal

  • "Break Your Heart" got - Sapphire (we missed getting a ruby by 1 point)

  • "The Bongo Song" got -Diamond

  • "Hush Hush" got -Diamond and Teen Intermediate Overall High Point Award

  • "More Than Anyone" got-Ruby (We missed getting a diamond by 1 point)

Our crowd was really dead but there were so many people there, and so many dancers. But we still did pretty good. When the All-Starz came out the crowd was so dead, that our dance team who was all still there decided to cheer our hearts out for them. And just for that, all the screaming, the cheering, etc. because of us they got overall high point and a diamond. When they were done, (They all had me record it for them) they watched it, and said that they had never felt so much power and energy for that dance and any other dance in their whole lives.

We were all so proud. We were so proud of ourselves for getting our scores, that whoever wanted to go, we all went to Krave Frozen Yogurt after competition. We all had so much funn. It was one of the most proud moments of our lives. It was amazing :)

A Performance, A Party, & A Redneck Slip-n-Slide

This past weekend starting last Friday, my dance team and I had one of our last performances of the dance season. It was a Dixie State College, for the Dixie State College Dance Team (Otherwise known as "The Rebelettes") dance review. We performed all of our usual dances that we usually perform at ever performance. And then for the first time, the girls who are on Military (Not me) performed for the first time. They did awesome!
I was at my dads, so after it was over, we went back to his house, and waited up for my dads best friend and his family to come over, till we got a call saying that they were tired, so they just stayed at a hotel. So we all went to bed.

On Saturday, we all woke up, and got ready for the day, until we had to leave to go to my cousin Porter's 3rd birthday party at Sand Hollow.
So we left and when we got there, we hung out at my uncle Rich's aunt's camp trailer, at their camp site. Then we went out to the lake and hung out on the shore line, then we wanted to ride up to the top of the sand dunes, and went to the very top, and watched people race up and down the hill, until we went back and ate dinner back at the camp site (Which was delish). Then we ate cake and my aunt was laughing at me because I was eating a corer piece and a big thing of frosting that came off the cake. When it started getting
cold, we went home and sat around till my dad's friend and his family came over. (His wife Tresa, and his son's Skyler and Jadden). They stayed over, and the next morning, I came downstairs, and breakfast was ready. Then Kathy and I got ready, and went to church to see my new cousin Ryder get blessed. When we got home, we made lunch, and went out to sit on the porch. When the boys started to get bored, and hot of running around the backyard playing football, they decided they wanted to make a home made slip-n-slide. So Kathy and i went inside and got 4 black garbage bags, while Josh and my dad got the hose and the stakes to keep the bags held down. The boys went and changed,
while i got my camera. the boys had soo much
funn playing on it. Time flew by, and we all got ready to go home. What a great weekend!

Catching Up...again

Well I'm just here to catch up again. I apologize that my blog has been kind of out of date lately. I guess we have all kinda fallen away from blogging. Well some of us anyway. ha. But if you didn't read the family news letter here is what it said: "This week at the end of the week my dance team and I will be performing at Dixie's dance team [The Jetett's] review. This is one of our very last dance performances for the whole dance season.

I am doing good with my grades so far. Since next week is the end of the 3rd quarter, I have still managed to keep them up. :] Right now I am at a 3.4 GPA. AND I have all A's and B's.

This past weekend, mom and Rick took our new Hillbilly Hotel out [The Camper], while Taisley, Danielle and I got to stay home and got the house to ourselves. But Taisley and Danielle had to stay home for awhile while I was out doing our dance pictures. About a 6 hour thing, with 100+ dancers. It was a long time, but it was well worth it in the end. [I will try to post mine when I get them].

The family is doing great. I can't wait for aunt Kaytee to come back here next time so we can spend some time together since I was at my dads most of the time the last few times she was here. Well that's pretty much it so far. More to come. :]

Brexton's Baptism

My little brother Brexton got baptized on Saturday 5th 2011. He was baptized a member of the church by my grandpa Larry, and confirmed by my uncle Brock. We had most of out family there with us. My brother Deven and I both gave talks. I talked about Baptism (The same talk I gave for Taisley's) and Deven gave his on the Holy Ghost. Deven asked him, if you could have any gift in the world what would it be? And he in reply said a scooter. Everyone got a good laugh out of that. He did so good, and only had to go under once. He was a little nervous at first, but after he was fine. We had an after party and when all of the kids got bored and everyone left, my gramma Colleen took at the older kids shopping. We had a blast. So here are a few pictures. Enjoy:)

Live to Dance From Episode 1 to 7

Well the last 7 episodes of Live to Dance (My favorite show), has been finished and the best dance act in America was crowned last night for the winner of the half a million dollars. ($500,000) They had 6 remaining dance acts. The six acts were: Dance Town Chaos, The Vibe, Twitch, Kendall Glover, White Tree Fine Art, and D'Angelo & Amanda. The high-energy opening routine was choreographed by Paula Abdul.

Last night they summed it up to the last 3 that were voted to stay. They were: White Tree Fine Art, D'Angelo & Amanda, and Kendall Glover. They all did amazing, but there could only be 1 winner. And the winner of the half a million dollars was.................D'Angelo and Amanda. They are only 10 and 11, they are "dating" and they have been dancing together for a long time. So congratulations to them. And congratulations to all the other dancers to. You did amazing!!! To watch Live to Dance its on Wednesday nights. Not sure what time i think at 6 but I'm not sure ha. The judges are Travis Payne (worked with Michael Jackson), Kimberly Wyatt (the choreographer for the Pussycat Dolls), and Paula Abdul (Singer, dancer, and an old judge from the hit show American Idol).

Markee and Kendi's Sleepover

This weekend, I went over to one of my best friends house. Her name is Markee. She is awesome. I went over there on Friday, and brought all of my stuff. We hung out for a little while, then we took her brother and 2 of his friends to a bonfire with her aunt and uncle. We got there, and walked around for a bit, then as it started to get dark, we stood by the fire, and roasted hot dogs, and drank hot chocolate. Yumm. After a while, we all got bored, and it was really dark, so we could barley see anything. So we all went and climbed into the back of the truck, and played truth or dare. We played for like 3 minutes, then Markee's aunt and uncle came over, and told us we were leaving. So we all drove home, got out and ran inside to get ready for bed. We changed into our Jammie's, and Markee and I curled up in her bed and watched movies, till her aunt came down and told us that dinner was ready. So we paused our movie, and went upstairs to eat with the boys. We had mac-and-cheese, and chicken nuggets with juice. Yumm. :] When we were all done we helped clean everything up, and went back downstairs to watch the rest of our movie. When the movie was over, Markee and I went into her bathroom and took pictures and when we were doing that, her brother walked in and took 1 with us. haha what a good sport. Then we went to bed. I woke up the next morning, before Markee, and she woke up to me staring at her and poking her nose. Because that's how I like to wake her up ha. So we laid there for a little while, then went upstairs to eat breakfast. After that we curled up in her bed and started She's the Man, till Rick came and got me. What a great day to spend Friday night, and Saturday Morning. :]
